The AnyRidge Surgical Guide kit have drill holes of 3.5, 5.0, and 6.5 diameter. 2.0 – 4.3 mm drills fit into the 5.0 mm drill hole but are too small for the 6.5 mm.
For the AnyRidge implant, the widest thread diameter is 0.5 mm wider than the fixture size at 3.5 mm, and 0.4 mm wider than the fixture size at 4.0 – 8.0 mm. The widest implant you can place with a 5.0 diameter drill hole is the 4.5 mm implant (4.5 ⌀ implant + 0.4 widest thread length).
Placing any implants 5.0 or greater will require the regular and the wide drill holes, requiring two surgical guides.
The BlueDiamond Surgical Guided kit does not require two surgical guide as the kit contains drills from 2.0 – 4.3 mm drills, which all fit into the regular 5.0 mm drill holes.
