Standard scan posts are not compatible for Sirona CEREC users as they utilize a closed system. MegaGen created a C-type scan abutment that is compatible with the Xive library in the Lab CAD Software. Scan posts must be purchased from CEREC.
C-Type Scan Abutment
- Because PrimeMill is for clinic use, only ZrGen (Ti-base) can be used.
- C-Type ti-bases can be purchased through us, but scan posts need to be purchased from Dentsply.
- Place the scan posts on top of the ti-base and scan.
- Select the XIVE FX library to design.
- Mill the e-max.
- Use the same ti-base with the milled crown.
In the Xive library, these sizes correspond to our C type profile diameter.
Important Note on Sizing:
The sizes listed below indicate the abutment sizes, not the implant sizes.
For the BlueDiamond implants, you only need to know if the platform is NC (Narrow Connection) or RC (Regular Connection).
